Dog Grooming Agreement

Pets with tangled coats need special attention during their grooming session. Prevention is the best defense against matage through constant care, including regular brushing and combing at home, and/or scheduling “brushing” appointments between the bride and groom. Our policy is to remove a dog`s fur only once to make the animal comfortable and start rebuilding the coat. Carpets can be painful for your dog and uncomfortable for the dog and dog groomer. After the fatigue process, you should be able to take care of the dog`s coat between grooming appointments. Muddy Paws reserves the right to refuse care if your dog is again heavily entangled after the initial fatigue. Pets with such a strong mat should then be shaved. We will not try to save the coat after this initial fatigue. Gland expression/ear cleaning: Muddy Paws offers these services as courtesy care for your pet. If an ear infection is suspected, it is the owner`s responsibility to seek help from a veterinarian.

Muddy Paws uses only a mild external expression for the glands and does not guarantee that the glands will not be overcrowded, torn or infected between care visits, as the results vary for each animal. Pets with chronic gland problems should be expressed by a veterinarian. Safety is everyone`s top priority during the grooming process, both for our groomers and for your pet. Not all pets accept the grooming process. A muzzle does not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. Muddy Paws reserves the right to muzzle pets that pose a safety concern and has the right to interrupt the grooming process if the situation becomes too stressful and/or dangerous for pets and groomers. It is the customer`s responsibility to inform Muddy Paws employees of any known aggression issues of the past, large or small. If your pet becomes excessively aggressive or bites during the grooming process, Muddy Paws will charge an aggressive dog fee in addition to the regular grooming fee.

Care is not limited to making your dog or cat look good, it is also important for your pet`s health and well-being. Bathing and caring for animals is very different from cutting a person`s hair. Dogs and cats bark, move, snack and can become shy and overly anxious. Our top priority is the health and safety of your trusted companion. In an effort to keep your pets happy, safe, healthy and beautiful, we have some guidelines for removing a tangled coat that carries the risk of notches, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in carpets. A sturdy mat can also trap moisture near the animal`s skin, allowing mold, fungi or bacteria to grow, revealing skin irritations that exist before the grooming process. The after-effects of carpet removal procedures may include itching, redness of the skin, self-inflicted irritation, abrasions and/or sores, as well as failure of hair regrowth. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should either apply sunscreen every day or be kept away from the sun until the hair grows enough to protect the skin.

In some cases, pets may also have brief changes in behavior. Accidents: There is always the possibility of an accident occurring. The grooming equipment is sharp, although we exercise extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems can arise, including cuts, notches, scratches, nail speeds, etc. Every effort is made to ensure that your pet is cared for in the safest way possible, but it can be dangerous to work on an excited pet. Parasites: If you suspect that your pet has fleas or ticks, immediate and thorough action on your part is necessary. Flea infestation can lead to tapeworms and other health problems. If fleas or ticks are found during the care process, your pet will be treated with a natural product to kill parasites and will be charged for flea shampoo. Please note that Bark Avenue Dog does not use dips or pesticide sprays on your pet. Ticks found will be removed for an additional fee. If ticks are found, we strongly recommend that you get your pet tested for Lyme disease. Please note that parasites pose a health risk to your pet and humans.

Muddy Paws prides itself on providing compassionate care to pets, and with this philosophy, we will take care of your pet as if it were our own! We will do everything we can to keep your furry friend safe, calm and comfortable. Our #1 priority is the health and safety of your trusted companion. Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for an elderly pet or a pet with health problems. Grooming can reveal hidden medical conditions or worsen those that exist during or after the grooming process. Because older animals and animals with health problems are more at risk of injury, these animals are cared for for cleanliness and comfort in styles that do not increase their stress. Muddy Paws is not responsible for accidents or injuries to an elderly or health-impaired animal during the grooming process. We reserve the right to stop the grooming process at any time if we believe it is in your pet`s best interest. Harmless restraint agreement (mandatory) Yes, I agree. By checking the box above and signing this Agreement, I confirm that I have read the Customer Service Agreement and agree (or my agent) to indemnify Muddy Paws Bath House, its owners, operators, employees, officers and directors from any damage, loss or claim arising out of any condition of the animal signed, known or unknown in accordance with the Customer`s care agreement. It is also understood and agreed that the terms of this Agreement may change at any time without notice and prevail over any previously signed contract or communication. It is also assumed that this clause applies to all pets cared for. We require that every adult animal is up to date on its rabies, distemper and parvovirus vaccines and that all puppies have started their vaccine series.

Please keep the vaccination certificate with you on the first visit so that we can save the information in your pet`s file. By signing this agreement, owners check that their pets are prepared for rabies, distemper and parvo virus. Up-to-date veterinary information and evidence of vaccination should be provided to Muddy Paws upon request. We make every effort to ensure that the care of your pet is pleasant and safe. If your pet becomes ill or injured and the services of a veterinarian are required, you hereby give us permission to receive treatment if you are not available for this. Although we are extremely cautious and cautious and this rarely happens, accidents do occur. Animals regularly move around the table, nursing equipment is sharp, and possible problems can arise, including cuts, notches, scratches, nail speeds, etc. In most cases, this happens when an animal wobbles or moves, or when the fur is tangled. If the cut hair falls into the eyes of a dog and there are the paws, it is possible that the eye is scratched. It`s like when we have an eyelash or something small embedded in our eye and we rub it. Muddy Paws is not responsible for accidents beyond our control. Aggressive or dangerous animals: Owners MUST inform Bark Avenue Dog if their pet(s) bite, have bitten or are aggressive towards people, other pets or certain grooming procedures.

If necessary, muzzles can be used. A muzzle does not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. Bark Avenue Dog reserves the right to refuse/discontinue services for these pets at any time before or during the grooming process and to charge an aggressive dog fee in addition to the regular grooming fee. Health or medical problems and older pets: Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for an older pet or a pet with health problems, and can reveal hidden medical problems or aggravate a current problem during or after the groom. In the best interest of your pet, this agreement grants Bark Avenue Dog permission to receive immediate veterinary treatment for your pet if Bark Avenue Dog deems it necessary. .
